WE ARE BECCLES AND BUNGAY HARRIERS AC

We are a family friendly club encouraging and supporting people of all ages and abilities to participate in athletics or running. We have over 100 adult athletes ranging from absolute beginners to more experienced athletes competing in local and regional endurance races.

We have two adult groups, one training on road and one on grass/track. We have a competitive junior running group(ranging from 12-18) and a younger group (7-11 years) of athletes who train in multi-discipline for (running, throwing and jumping).

The club is based on the border between Norfolk and Suffolk with the joint venues at Earsham Playing Field, Earsham (Winter Months) and Bungay High School (Summer months) on Tuesday evenings, and Sir John Leman High School Track on Thursday evenings.

On an individual (and sometimes team) basis many members take part in local Parkruns, local road racing and cross country events (particularly the Suffolk Winter League). We also have a number of adults competing in full and half marathons! For more information about racing please speak to our Head Coach, Lynn.

The management of Beccles and Bungay Harriers AC is in the hands of the committee members who volunteer their time to meet on a regular basis, to ensure the Club's continued development and to offer our members great sessions and support.

Positions are up for election every year at the AGM.

As can be seen – we have some vacancies (and some that are doing jobs on a temporary basis) – and we would like people to ask themselves whether they could help – even in a small bespoke way! It is not always about taking on a significant role but helping with certain events or taking on a part role and perhaps sharing it with someone else. We really do need a few more people to step forward – otherwise we may have to reduce what we do and what the club can get involved in. If you can help – you won’t be left on your own. There will be help and advice from existing Committee Members.
